CRICOVA GOES GREEN: Investing in a sustainable future!

In a world where the negative impact on the environment is becoming increasingly evident, it is crucial to take responsibility and start the change within ourselves. One of the most important and simple steps in this direction is to develop and promote a culture of responsibility in waste collection and sorting.
Since 2022, C.V. Cricova has made a firm commitment to invest in renewable energy sources, as part of its continuous effort to contribute to ecosystem protection and promote ecological practices in the wine industry.
As part of this commitment, C.V. Cricova joined the #PădureaCurată initiative, a campaign launched by the Ministry of Environment and the “Moldsilva” Agency. In this context, C.V. Cricova organized a cleanup action in the wooded area of the town of Cricova, which took place on April 13.
Both the Cricova team and the town’s residents actively participated in this cleanup effort. The result? No less than two large trailers of waste were collected. From paper and plastic to tires and construction materials, a significant amount of waste was removed.

“It is essential to realize that through such actions, we demonstrate involvement, responsibility, and care for our surroundings. We become better, maintain cleanliness, and make the Republic of Moldova a more beautiful home for all of us. Air pollution, soil and water degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate change are just some of the consequences we face due to our negligence. Cleanup is a fundamental first step towards protecting nature and regenerating affected ecosystems. Concrete actions such as waste collection and the cleaning of natural spaces are necessary to restore balance in the environment. This is why initiatives like this cleanup action organized by the Cricova team are vital. They not only give us the opportunity to mitigate the negative impact of human activities on nature but also teach us to be more responsible and aware of our actions’ effects on the environment.” – Sorin Maslo.

We take pride in this initiative and are encouraged by the fact that our efforts have contributed to improving the environment. Thus, we commit to organizing such cleanup actions more frequently, with the goal of protecting nature and educating the community about sustainability
