HISTORY
Cricova represents the largest underground complex, known worldwide for its immense labyrinths and excellent wines. The history of this amazing place dates from 1952.
The pearl of Moldovan winemaking, “Cricova” is located right in the heart of the Republic of Moldova. At a depth of 60 meters underground, under the supervision of winemakers, the best Cricova wines are stored and matured.
The oldest winemaking traditions have been preserved here, thus, “Cricova” is the first company in the country that produces sparkling wine according to the method of the famous monk Pierre Perignon — “Méthode Traditionnele”.
“Cricova” is proud not only of the highest quality products, but also of its underground labyrinths. The famous cellars house a remarkable collection of wines, gathered from all times and from all corners of the world.
